Operate safely. Stay on spec. Maximize delivered RNG production.

Nacelle provides operations and maintenance support for biogas and RNG facilities for asset owners, operators, and developers who need a reliable team running the facility. Whether the need is full-site coverage or targeted support, we help facilities stay safe, stay on spec, and keep gas moving through routine operations, planned maintenance, and unplanned events.

Our O&M Approach

Operations Support

Nacelle helps facilities run with more consistency, better visibility, and clearer response when conditions change.

  • Daily and weekly operating routines with performance checks
  • Start-up, shutdown, and alarm management procedures
  • Single point of failure analysis
  • Operator training, shift coverage planning, and safe work practices
  • Develop and manage operations and safety manuals and procedures
  • Facility communications and coordination across asset owners, stakeholders, and vendors

Preventive and Corrective Maintenance

Strong operations depend on maintenance programs that are structured, practical, and built around the equipment that matters most.

  • Preventive maintenance program design and execution, built to be CMMS-ready
  • Maintenance support for compressors, dryers, blowers, flares, and upgrading systems
  • Vendor coordination and outage planning to reduce downtime impact
  • Corrective maintenance support with clear priorities and follow-through

Uptime Improvement and Optimization

The goal is not just to keep the facility running today but to help it run better consistently over time.

  • Root-cause analysis for recurring alarms, shutdowns, or gas quality excursions
  • Spares optimization and maintenance interval tuning
  • Performance tracking and continuous improvement focused on increasing run hours and reducing nuisance downtime
  • Gas sampling and chromatography support to improve gas quality visibility, verify performance and help catch developing issues before they affect compliance
  • Practical changes that improve uptime, recovery speed, and day-to-day operating stability

What We Maintain

Nacelle supports the core systems that determine whether a biogas or RNG facility stays online, stays in spec, and keeps gas moving.

  • Biogas treatment systems, including H₂S, siloxane, and moisture management
  • Upgrading systems, including membranes and pressure swing adsorption
  • Compression, drying, and pipeline injection skids
  • Landfill systems connected to RNG operations, including blowers, flares, and conditioning equipment
  • Controls, SCADA, and instrumentation as part of ongoing operational readiness

What You Can Expect

More Consistent Operation

Stronger routine maintenance, better visibility, and fewer avoidable disruptions.

Higher Uptime

Planned maintenance and faster response that help keep the facility up and running.

Better Control of Quality and Compliance

Clear workflows and documentation that support steadier gas quality performance.

An Operating Program Built to Scale

Structured support that works across a single site or a broader portfolio.

Who We Serve

This service is built for asset owners, developers, and investors who need a qualified operations team running a biogas or RNG facility without building that capability entirely in-house.

It is also a strong fit for facilities that are already operating but dealing with chronic downtime, off-spec events, maintenance gaps, or recurring issues that are not getting resolved.

Common Questions

Do you provide full-time on-site operators or remote support?
Both, depending on what the facility needs. Some sites require full-time on-site coverage, while others are well suited to a combination of site visits and remote monitoring. Nacelle looks at the facility, staffing situation, and uptime requirements to recommend the right coverage model.
Can you take over O&M from a construction or commissioning team?
Yes. This is one of the most common ways Nacelle gets engaged. Construction and commissioning teams are not long-term operations teams, and the handoff between those phases can create real risk. Nacelle can step in during commissioning, take over after mechanical completion, or stabilize a facility that is already running but underperforming.
What does a preventive maintenance program look like for a biogas facility?
It depends on the equipment mix, but a typical program includes scheduled inspections and service intervals for compressors, dryers, blowers, and treatment systems, along with instrumentation checks, safety-system verification, and documentation. Nacelle builds programs that are CMMS-ready so maintenance history is tracked, organized, and auditable.
How do you handle off-spec events?
Nacelle builds alarm-response workflows and upset-response playbooks into the operating program from the start. When a deviation occurs, the team knows what to do, who to notify, and how to respond quickly. The goal is to catch issues early, recover faster, and document the event clearly if pipeline communication is required.
